Staff Nurse, RGN or RMN

Set in the stunning West Highlands of Scotland, an area which offers many opportunities for outdoor pursuits, including water sports and skiing, Abbeyfield Ballachulish is an independant charity run  nursing care home for older people delivering the highest standard of care, and proud to be awarded Scottish Care's Care Home Service of the Year in 2017 and nominated again in 2019 and 2020.

We are looking for enthusiastic and commited candidates to be part of an innovative team providing residential, nursing, palliative and intermediate care to our older people. We currenlty have 30 rooms with a further 7 being delveloped.

You will benefit from an annual salary of £35,349 and will work in a four on four off shift rotation. On-going training, PDP and formal supervision will be provided.

Requirements

Ideally candidates will posses the attributes below;

Registered Nurse with current NMC pin.

Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team.

Work within agreed policy & procedural frameworks.

General nursing care skills required for palliative and intermediate nursing care

Excellent communication practices.

Understanding of the needs of the client group.

Excellent organisational skills.

Self motivated, articulate and assertive with capacity to work flexibly.

Ability to work without supervision and lead a small team effectively.

Ability to take initiative and problem solve.

Understanding of partnership working.

An interest in the care and needs of older people and their families
