Salary: £26,610.61 - £28,867.87 pro rata per annum (Term Time Only)- pay award pending 

Contract Duration: Permanent

Please note the closing date has been extended until 28 November 2023

Please note successful applicants will be placed on the first point of the salary scale unless they meet certain criteria.

This is a 38 week post, working hours will be during school term only, the salary will be pro-rated accordingly. Please note the salary advertised is full time (37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year).

 

Role Purpose

Manage / assist the Unit Manager and ensure that the specified service delivery is met. Ensure cost effectiveness within the Unit. Manage staff and ensure that all Health and Safety and appropriate legislation are complied with.

Ensure that all required administrative information is completed and passed to the appropriate location.

Essential

City and Guilds 706/2 or SVQ 2 plus minimum of 3 year’s experience in a comparable production Unit.

RIPHH Certificate, Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate.

Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate, or must be willing to achieve within 6 months.

Allergen Awareness Training or must be willing to achieve within 6 months.

A current driving licence is an essential requirement of this post. * If you have a disability which precludes you from holding a drivers licence, Scottish Borders Council will take into account its responsibility to make reasonable adjustments to allow for your disability. Should it be possible to make such an adjustment in order that you can undertake the travel responsibilities of the post, this will be taken into account in consideration for this role.
