Role Purpose

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent Social Worker/ Mental Health Officer in the integrated Community Mental Health Team based at Huntlyburn House in the BGH, Melrose. This post does not require applicants to have an MHO qualification. This would be ideal preparation for undertaking Mental Health Officer /Social Work training.

This post will involve working closely with clients in our four mental health wards and in the Scottish Borders community as social worker/case manager. The successful person will be part of a friendly, supportive multi-disciplinary team working in the arena.

This post will afford the chance for the right person to gain experience of the mental health team work and to develop their skills, knowledge of mental health services for adults.

This post will involve flexible hybrid working.

Essential

Professional Social Work/Nursing qualification.

Registration with SSSC.

A current driving licence is an essential requirement of this post.*
