Will Chemist are looking for a Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team in a busy, family run Aberdeenshire community pharmacy based on West High Street, Inverurie. The position is full time, permanent, operating Monday to Friday with an alternate Saturday working pattern.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, participate in all branch processes, establish relationships with customers, patients as well as healthcare professionals. You should be a team player, able to work using your own initiative, have strong attention to detail skills and be able to work to deadlines in a fast paced environment.

A minimum of 2 years of previous experience in a Pharmacy dispensary is essential.

Job description

  • Maintain an accurate, efficient and professional dispensing experience for all of our customers, ensuring dispensing losses are minimised.
  • Understand the importance of complying with and maintaining customer confidentiality.
  • Seek opportunities to engage with GP's and practice teams to promote services and items.
  • Comply with legal and professional requirements and accepted guidance on professional practice.
  • Deliver the technical aspects of the dispensary whilst ensuring the safe supply of medicines e.g. ordering medicines, labeling, dispensing, endorsing and collection of prescriptions.
  • Tailoring conversations with every customer to ensure they leave our pharmacy feeling informed and confident about their healthcare needs.
  • Dealing with customer queries to provide health care advice and where required referring to the pharmacist.
  • Prepare Dossette Boxes
  • Provide advice on common illness and minor ailments in order to supply over the counter medicines where appropriate
  • Taking in and handing out prescriptions.
  • Using a computer to generate stock lists and orders.
  • Receiving and loading deliveries.
  • Be pro-active and work to deadlines and timescales.
  • Maintaining Pharmacy stock levels.
  • Able to demonstrate self-motivation and initiative.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills, excellent time management skills and able to work to strict deadlines and multitask.
  • Additionally, maintain a safe working environment adhering to H&S guidelines, undertake regular training and refresher training.

 

Job Types: 

Salary: up to £13.50 per hour depending on experience and completion of Accredited Dispensary Assistants Course (ADAC) or NVQ level 2.

Experience:

Dispensary: minimum of 2 years previous experience is essential.
