Role Purpose

Scottish Borders Council is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Street Lighting Technician to work within its Street Lighting Asset Team. The successful applicant will assist the appropriate Team Leader(s) in the delivery of all elements of the day to day running of the service, including assisting the Street Lighting Operational team where necessary, along with any other Council works deemed appropriate relating to roads maintenance and the street lighting asset.

Essential

Scottish Joint Industry Board (SJIB) Graded Electrician City and Guilds 2330 Parts 1 & 2 or willing to obtain within an agreed timescale of appointment

ERG 39 Course – Scottish Power or willing to obtain within an agreed timescale of appointment

A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post. * If you have a disability which precludes you from holding a drivers licence, Scottish Borders Council will take into account its responsibility to make reasonable adjustments to allow for your disability.
