Requirements
An opportunity has arisen for a temporary full time Purchasing Assistant to join the Procurement and Contract Management Team for 12 months. The role will be based within our Corporate and Education Team. The successful candidate would be responsible for undertaking procurement’s on behalf of the council and for providing support/advice in relation to low value purchases. The Purchasing Assistant will also contribute to the Purchase to Pay process, helping ensure that purchasing transactions are effective and efficient and record information within the council’s purchasing system that is accurate, well-structured and informative. - The salary shown is the full time equivalent salary, the actual salary will be paid pro rata for the hours worked if flexible working or job share arrangements are agreed.
- This is a temporary post which may be filled on a secondment basis by an employee wishing to gain experience/career development and will be at the discretion of the employee’s director.
