Do you have a passion for remote and rural healthcare? Are you keen to escape from life’s treadmill and embrace a healthier work life balance? If you answered ‘yes’, NHS Western Isles has the perfect opportunity for you. This is an exciting chance to join our Occupational Therapy team, where you will become part of the NHS Western Isles family and will have the chance to develop your skills and confidence within a supportive team, with the remote island location providing a very special extra sense of reward.
Working as part of the Stroke Multi-disciplinary Team and other local and mainland neurology colleagues, an OT service is provided for people with stroke and other acquired and progressive neurological conditions across the Western Isles.
You will work directly with patients who have a range of difficulties impacting on occupational performance. We offer the support of a professional and well-established integrated team of Occupational Therapy staff who work across the Western Isles with links to a national network of Occupational Therapists working in Primary Care across Scotland.
Also known as the Outer Hebrides, the Western Isles are steeped in history and culture, with stunning landscapes, spectacular coastlines, a strong sense of community and identity, and renowned Hebridean hospitality.
