Are you looking for a role where you can really make a difference every day? Changeworks, Scotland’s leading environmental charity, is growing and looking for a project manager to help us tackle the climate emergency.
Our work makes a meaningful difference to reducing the carbon impact of homes in Scotland. Part of what we do involves managing and delivering energy efficiency projects all over Scotland. We deliver schemes to install various insulation and renewable technology measures in people’s homes. Helping them feel warmer, and lower their carbon impact.
That’s where you come in! As the managing agent, we partner with local authorities, housing associations, and social landlords to improve the energy efficiency of homes. You will work within the Building Decarbonisation Team delivering domestic retrofit projects, managing retrofit contractors and ensuring projects are delivered to budget and to a high standard. You’ll use your strong relationship building skills to work effectively with various partners and be confident communicating with various stakeholders.
You’ll already have an understanding of the complexities involved with delivering retrofit projects, such as driving quality and managing complex timelines. You’ll be supported by project administrators and work closely with our internal Quality Assurance and Quantity Surveying teams.
Changeworks is a great place to work. We hold Investors in People Platinum accreditation (something only a few organisations in Scotland have), and we were nominated for employer of the year by the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce this year. Our staff overwhelmingly would recommend us as an employer too.
The Climate Emergency has resulted in ambitious national targets to reduce carbon emissions from the built environment and reduce rates of fuel poverty. This has driven a significant increase in the number of pilot and large-scale interventions delivered by Changeworks and external organisations in this area. These include area-based domestic energy efficiency retrofit and decarbonisation projects and programmes.
We are a growing organisation, and this role is crucial to the delivery of our ambitious objectives. We want to decarbonise homes in Scotland on a massive scale, and that needs talented individuals like you to help us deliver on our objectives. You’ll receive full training plus coaching and mentoring.
We offer a wide range of staff benefits including flexible working, bike to work scheme, an excellent pension scheme and 26 days paid holiday plus 9 public holidays per year.
At Changeworks, we welcome and encourage applications from everyone.
