This post is based within the Bathgate/ Blackburn Neighbourhood. Whilst you will be allocated a base location you will be asked to work from other buildings.

The Service Support Officer is the key link person between council and community groups operating from the council’s Community Facility buildings and Partnership Centres. 

To co-ordinate the day to day operation of Community Centres and Village Halls ensuring that the needs of the centre users and local community are being met effectively.

Part of a team that will deliver a wide range of services across one of the 4 Neighbourhood Management areas. These services include: Community Facilities, Libraries, Customer Information Services and Registration.

There will be a particular focus on supporting Community Facilities and their Management Committees.

In partnership with Management Committees, develop a range of programmes that will support the council’s priorities and community initiatives

You will be required to travel independently between buildings. You will also be required to attend mandatory training either in person or online.
