Job Description

To provide a safe and high quality service throughout the facility whilst maintaining good operational procedures and relationships between the service and members of the public.

 

Responsibilities

Building security

Preparing / checking the fitness-room and equipment ready for use.

Taking fitness and indoor cycling classes at specified times.

Assisting with the co-ordination of volunteer staff.

Setting up and dismantling equipment as required.

Reporting any equipment faults.

Monitoring, reporting on and carrying out cleaning / maintenance duties.

Ensuring that Health and Safety standards are complied with in accordance with the facility operating procedures.

Undertaking general duties

 

The Individual

Fitness / Leisure industry experience

Experience of cash handling

Effective written and verbal communication skills

Numerate

Recognised Fitness / Leisure industry qualifications

Aptitude for tidiness

Attention to detail.

Prioritises tasks / action

Ability to follow routines / instructions

Capable of working unsupervised.

Good customer care / people skills

 

Patience

Diplomacy

Trustworthy

Ability to work flexibly to meet the needs and demands of the service.

Ability to lift and bend in order to be able to dismantle and clean equipment.

Starting salary: £23,732 (pro rata)

£12.59 per hour

10 hours per week
