Job Description

Location: Beach Ballroom
Duration: Full Time, Permanent

The working week is 37 hrs (5 days from 7) and will involve evening and weekend working depending on business requirements. Although not essential a driving Licence would be desirable as the team work across several venues. The post holder will also have to complete the Personal Licence Holders Training (if not already possessed).

Job Purpose
To be responsible for the duty management of staff and day to day operations of the Beach Ballroom, any related catering and Civic events.

Job Specific Requirements

Advanced Qualification in an appropriate subject and/or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and competencies gained through relevant commercial experience

Responsibilities

The post holder is expected to demonstrate

Experience of working in a similar role with a track record of customer service excellence

Regulatory awareness, including relevant licenses and safety standards and a history of positive compliance

Ability to remain calm, collected and personable in pressured situations

Commercial acumen and a good understanding of commercial opportunities

Positive interpersonal skills in written and verbal communication, with an ability to present information clearly and in an accessible manner

Experience of staff supervision, training and delegation of tasks

Implementing and following finance policies in an operational capacity

Well-organised approach to work with an ability to handle information, records and statistics accurately

Ability to work as part of a team or on own initiative
