Fairview School, Perth

We are looking for a Pupil Support Assistant to work in Fairview School, the only special school in Perth and Kinross.  

Ideally the successful candidate will have experience in a school environment supporting children and/or young people with severe and complex learning needs. Experience is desirable, however, the values of the successful candidate are equally important as full training will be given.  

Fairview School supports children and young people from age 3-18 and as such you may be based in any part of the school.

The Individual

The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator and enjoy working in a team, however, they will be able to show initiative and work on their own when required.

A flexible approach is desirable as often plans will change depending on pupil needs at any given time.  

Your role will be supporting the teacher to provide the best learning and teaching experiences for our young people to allow them to be as independent as possible in their future lives.  The ability to remain calm and a positive outlook is very important.
