Link Support Worker (Badenoch and Strathspey)

Mikeysline is a Highland based mental health awareness and suicide prevention charity. We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Link Support Worker (Badenoch and Strathspey). 16 hours per week - happy to discuss flexible working to meet the needs of the role.

Reporting to the Development Manager, you will be the main Mikeysline representative and
worker in the Badenoch and Strathspey area.

The post-holder will work across the area, providing support to young people, adults, and families in relation to mental health and suicide prevention, building on our existing relationship with schools in the area.

The role will include awareness raising and training through presentations to help raise wider understanding of the range of support options that Mikeysline can provide to people in this region.

The postholder will also represent Mikeysline at local community events as appropriate.

This is a new post to enable Mikeysline to offer greater support in this area, and accordingly the post holder will develop our knowledge of needs concerning mental health and suicide prevention in the local area and the solutions that are likely to be acceptable.
