Role Purpose

We are seeking to recruit a skilled Educational Psychologist, with recent management experience, to lead our Educational Psychology Service.

The post offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team of Educational Psychologists at a time of transformational change and improvement within our Education Service.

The Principal Educational Psychologist is a member of the wider Education Team which provides significant opportunities to influence strategic planning. You will have an important role in developing our new education delivery model which empowers schools and settings to foster collaboration within their local communities.

You will work alongside a range of creative partners who are committed to improvement and inclusion. You will contribute to our new strategic approach “The SBC Way”. This is an innovative approach to achieving excellent educational outcomes for every child and young person. In this lead role you will engage and work closely with schools, settings, Children and Young People’s Services and Allied Health partners to help raise attainment, promote inclusion and support the emotional wellbeing of vulnerable children and young people.

We require an excellent communicator who has a strong vision for the development of high-quality service delivery and is knowledgeable about current practice in educational psychology and additional learning needs.

Essential

Degree level qualification Postgraduate qualification in Educational Psychology

Applicants should be chartered psychologists or eligible for this status

Applicants must be registered with the Health Professionals Council Experience as an educational psychologist

A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post.
