As a Shift Leader , this role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless functioning of production processes with a paramount focus on maintaining and elevating both product quality and food safety. The responsibilities encompass efficient shift coordination, strategic resource allocation for quality improvement, and continuous enhancement initiatives to meet and surpass department-specific Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s). A fundamental aspect of this role lies in data analysis and reporting, emphasizing a data-driven approach to achieve and sustain optimal production outcomes, particularly in the context of food safety.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1.  Quality Oversight:

  • Actively engatge in strategies that prioritize the continual improvement of both product quality and food safety, with a focus on setting and surpassing department-specific KPI's.
  • Implement initiatives that not only elevate general quality standards, but also uphold stringent measures for food safety, ensuring production output consistently meets or exceeds established benchmarks.

2. Shift Co-ordination

  • Assume responsibility for effective shift planning, with a keen focus on maintaining a responsive and efficient production environment that adheres to rigorous food safety standards.
  • Manage staffing levels to meet both production demands and stringent quality and food safety targets, fostering a streamlined workflow.

3. Continuous Improvement

  • Take the lead in driving initiatives for continuous improvement within the production department, with a particular emphasis on advancing food safety measures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices, innovative technologies, and methodologies to achieve and surpass quality-related KPI’s, giving due consideration to food safety standards.

4. Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Apply comprehensive data analysis for informed decision-making in production management, placing specific emphasis on data related to both quality and food safety.
  • Proactively manage and enhance production quality and food safety through the implementation of data-driven strategies derived from comprehensive analysis.

5. Food Safety Compliance

  • Stay informed about and ensure the team's compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to implement and update food safety protocols as needed.
