OneMedical Group are hiring! Great Western Medical Practice in Aberdeen, Scotland are looking for an experience Practice Nurse or a Treatment Room Nurse to join our nursing team. 

The post holder is accountable for the delivery of safe and effective nursing care to the whole practice population, supporting patients to be healthy, early management of long-term conditions, health prevention and screening activities. The focus of the role is the delivery of evidence-based practice for patients with acute and chronic conditions and management and preventative nursing interventions to all patients. You will support the wider clinical team providing advice and guidance where applicable.

To fulfil requirements of the post you should be familiar with:

Specialist treatment room knowledge

  • Cervical cytology
  • NPT
  • Management of long term conditions (or willingness to undertake the training)
  • Infection Control & Clinical Governance
  • Management or supervision of staff

The job holder should have experience working in General Practice, be registered with a recognised professional body and adhere to the standards recommended by the NMC. The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic and reliable person who enjoys working autonomously but also as part of a team. They should have good communication skills, IT skills and knowledge; organisational skills together with the ability to prioritise and think creatively about service provision.

About the Practice:

Located in the Seafield area in the West of Aberdeen, Great Western Medical Practice delivers healthcare for 10,000 patients from the ground floor of a modern health centre. There is carpark available for patients and staff. Practice is close to amenities, including pharmacies, shops and local bus routes.  

The practice is made up of various healthcare professionals to meet extensive patient needs and offers a variety of telephone, face-to-face and video appointments between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday.
