We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Product to join our Restaurant team based in our Central Support Office in Lasswade. Your role will be to support the Restaurant strategy by sourcing cost effective products and creating clear product forecasts. You will be managing suppliers and maintaining positive relationships internally and externally. You will take a lead in food stage gate development and ensuring supporting departments are aligned to deliver effective and sustainable products in line with targets. Our Head of Product role offers a hybrid pattern of home working and working from our Central Support Office. You can choose to work more frequently in the office if you'd prefer.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead food stage gate development process to ensure all supporting departments are aligned and project is delivered on time
  • In partnership with the Head of Procurement, identify and develop the sourcing of cost-effective products to achieve company commercial margin and sustainability targets
  • Marketplace competitor pricing reviews to ensure we remain competitive across good, better and best range
  • Maintaining product catalogues within Acquire to ensure the teams in store can place orders accurately and efficiently
  • Manage all buying lists (food, drink & non-consumables) ensuring they are kept up to date at all-times, with quarterly reviews to ensure they remain streamlined and relevant to the current business needs
  • Works with brand standards in mind across all decision making
  • Create product code guides making it easier to update and keep our teams informed of our current full catalogue for all non-food suppliers
  • Apply cost prices adjustments as required to ensure all products are correctly priced
  • Ensure all recipes are costed and match the accurate prices within Acquire
  • Support the Epos transition planning
  • Day to day management of all suppliers, maintaining a positive relationship & maximising the effectiveness of our contracts. Be the first point of contact for suppliers and restaurant teams with regards to stock issues.
  • Work with suppliers, procurement, and food development to create forecasts of all lines to guarantee availability, ensure minimal stock exceeds its shelf life, keeping write off costs to a minimum
  • Manage nominated lines, ensuring stockholding, availability and forecasts are accurate to prevent additional costs
  • Review and action relevant reports from suppliers to identify and problem-solve issues to maintain a strong supply chain, keeping teams informed at all-times
  • Ensures our values are maintained across all interactions, at all times
