Fixed Term 6 Months

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Registered Nurse to join the nursing team on a fixed term contract to cover maternity leave, at Islay Community Hospital.

The post involves working across both hospital and community services  to provide a seamless, integrated service to patients and their families.

The department has a non By-pass A&E department which is currently staffed by ward staff, supported by On-call GP's

The role will involve the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure high quality, evidence based holistic care.

The post holder will need to be innovative and possess an ability to work across professional boundaries, underpinned by a real desire to provide the highest standards of patient care.

There will be opportunities to develop your skills and experience in other areas such as unscheduled care / advanced assessment / palliative care
