What you'll do

As a Credit Risk Analyst at Sainsbury’s Bank, you will play a vital role in the Credit Cards or Loans Credit Risk team, using data and analytics to design credit strategies that enable responsible lending and exceptional customer outcomes. Your responsibilities will include developing credit risk policies, leading relationships with business areas to understand potential risk impacts, identifying risk management opportunities through data mining, mentoring and coaching colleagues in coding and data analytics, providing advice and adding value to business projects, documenting and presenting results, and staying updated on research techniques and regulatory changes. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders from various areas of the bank and gain exposure to senior management, contributing to the growth and success of the organisation. This opportunity offers you the chance to join a dynamic team and deepen your expertise in retail credit risk while working in a customer-focused and collaborative environment.


Who you are

As a Credit Risk Analyst at Sainsbury's Bank, you are a passionate and talented individual with a strong interest in data and analytics. Whether you are an experienced credit risk professional, an aspiring analyst, or someone with an academic background wanting to venture into financial services, this role offers an exciting opportunity to join our growing Credit Cards or Loans Credit Risk team. You bring a broad knowledge of retail lending products and have experience in retail credit risk, coupled with proficiency in computer-based software statistical packages such as SAS, R, Python, or SQL. With exceptional numeracy skills and a degree or relevant experience in a related discipline, you are well-versed in data mining applications and possess the ability to analyse complex data to develop credit risk policies and lending strategies. Your exceptional problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively make you a valuable asset in delivering outstanding customer outcomes and contributing to the growth and success of Sainsbury's Bank.
