We are looking for an experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse to join us in providing high quality nursing care and treatment within a supportive multidisciplinary team.

The post is based at Gowanlea, Arbroath and you will be part of an Integrated Community Mental Health Service which forms part of Angus Health and Social Care Partnership.

You will have a broad range of experience of working with people with mental health problems and be committed to improving their health outcomes.  Applicants should demonstrate leaderships skills as the ability to manage designated staff and lead changes within the service is required for this role.

The successful candidate will receive a robust induction programme, alongside ongoing clinical and managerial supervision.  Your professional development will be supported through external and internal training opportunities.  We offer flexible working and the option to work from home on a rostered basis.

The ability to work as part of our extended weekend service is essential to this post, as is the ability to travel across  the locality.

You must be registered on Sub-part 1: RN3 of the UK NMC Register

Hours of work are:  37.5 hours per week (job share and part time will be considered)

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay.  This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.  This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.  However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.  If you have any questions or concerns please contact the Recruiting Board.
