Release Manager - Workplace Pensions

Lloyds Banking Group

Location: Edinburgh. Hybrid working arrangements, (currently at least 2 days per week in office)

We are looking for a Release Manager who will lead the delivery of complex change to our core pension platform. As a release manager within our CSP Lab, you will be accountable for all release readiness activity, ensuring all governance requirements are met, coordinating multiple stakeholders, and working with FNZ our 3rd party platform throughout the release lifecycle including post live support.

The FNZ CSP platform now hosts Employer pensions with c20,000 pension schemes and c2.2M employee policies with assets in excess of £80bn.

Here’s where you’ll make the difference.

  • You’ll be responsible for the planning and the implementation of releases across the platform. This includes delivering value by solution analysis, risk assessment and scheduling of technical changes and releases, governance, and providing release assurance to senior management.
  • You will understand, embrace and be able to select with confidence the most appropriate tools and methods to deliver change.
  • Have excellent communication skills and strive to build relationships across role communities, change teams and business areas to maximise opportunities for continuous improvement through shared learnings.
  • Encourage team work to achieve delivery excellence.
  • Demonstrate resilience and adaptability, confidence, and a desire to innovate and test new ideas.
  • You’ll have a flexible approach to delivering both standard and emergency changes during out of hours.

What we need from you:

  • Understanding of technical IT infrastructure and application stack
  • Experience of scheduling IT change on complex IT environments and managing multiple dependencies
  • Experience of post live support
  • Analytical skills, organisational awareness, self/work organisation and project management
  • Procedural/Product/Specialist knowledge
  • MS Office including Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Project advanced.
  • Ability to effectively communicate to a variety of stakeholders.

Desirable Skills:

  • Highly collaborative; forging strong trust-based relationships and interacting with stakeholders at different levels.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrate energy, pace and self-confidence overcoming challenges and being prepared to challenge the status quo.
  • Experience working with FNZ.
  • Ability to gather, analyse and use data to drive improvements in the release lifecycle.
