A vacancy has arisen to work at our Upper Soroba site, Oban. The job involves working between our Quarry and Oban Skip Hire waste transfer station. Telehandler/ loading shovel/ 360 excavator experience preferred though not essential as training will be provided. An opportunity also exists for a trainee with a practical/ mechanical mindset.

This full time position (Monday to Friday) is based at our Upper Soroba Quarry on the outskirts of Oban and involves a variety of work from loading vehicles, assisting with crushing and screening of rock, routine machine maintenance (training provided), mechanical /manual picking station sorting mainly commercial/ construction incoming waste from our Skip Hire Operation into recyclable elements and some weighbridge manning and customer reception. 

Requirements

This interesting and varied job would suite someone who enjoys being physically active, working as part of a team and has a practical mind set. A mechanical interest /apptitude would be advantageous. Telehandler/ loading shovel/ 360 excavator experience preferred though not essential as training will be provided to suitable candidate. Although an experienced machine operative is preferred, we may also rectruit a trainee and this is an excellent opportunity for someone wanting to expand their skill set within the quarry / recycling / general construction industries, who enjoys working outdoors, preferes to be physically active and engaged in a variety of practical/ mechanically orientated work.
