Are you are an experienced Registered Nurse, who is enthusiastic about your role and wants to make a difference? If so we want you to join us working as part of our Community Nursing Team, delivering care to the population of Shetland. We have a vacancy for a Band 5 Community Nurse, preferably with Community experience, but training will be provided for suitable applicants.

This contract is for a fixed term until 31st March 2025. The reason for the fixed-term contract is to cover Maternity Leave. We are happy to consider applicants wishing to be seconded to this post, and can be flexible to support applications from NHS Shetland Nurses who may wish to consider these hours in addition to a part-time role they already hold. If you wish to apply for this post as a secondment opportunity, you will need to discuss with your line manager before submitting an application.

Working under the direction of the District Nurse Specialist Practitioners in the Community and in partnership with the existing Primary Health and Social Care Teams, you will help support the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of care for patients, families and carers of the Practice population with whom you are working, and will have the opportunity to develop your own clinical skills and knowledge.

It is essential that you are a car driver with access to your own vehicle for work purposes.
