Are you a Band 6 Occupational Therapist looking for a new opportunity to join the enthusiastic and dynamic Moray Occupational Therapy Team? Or are you an experienced Band 5 Occupational Therapist looking for a promoted role?


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably experienced therapist to join the Moray Occupational Therapy Team as a Band 6 Occupational Therapist at Dr Grays Hospital, Elgin. Dr Grays Hospital is a busy District General Hospital serving the needs of the population of Moray and beyond.


This post involves requires the prompt assessment and treatment of patients to maximise independence and facilitate timely discharge as part of a multidisciplinary team. The Occupational Therapy service is embedded within the multidisciplinary teams on medical, stroke, surgical and orthopaedic wards as well as an acute medical assessment unit and the Emergency Department within Dr Grays Hospital.  


The post holders will be able to demonstrate post-graduate training and experiential knowledge and be willing to undertake further training. You will be clinically supervised by a Band 7 Team Lead Occupational Therapist.


You will be expected to contribute to the ongoing development and evaluation of the service under the direction of the Lead Occupational Therapist, using quality improvement methodology, and building on existing evidence to inform the Occupational Therapy service delivery in Moray.


The Moray Occupational Therapy Team is a well-established team with robust supervision, mentoring, quality review and audit frameworks and we strive to provide an excellent service to our patients. We also have close working relationships with our AHP and multidisciplinary colleagues in Moray and across NHS Grampian and national links.
