Purpose

Our Corporate business is responsible for providing training support services for all in ScottishPower.

Join us in this rewarding role within Technical Training as an experienced Craft Training Jointer.  Our aim is to deliver a range of Craft skills, where we focus on equipping our new workforce on the technical and hand skills required for all jointing tasks and activities.

You’ll become part of a well-established Craft team with a wide range of knowledge and experience.  Our main aim is to deliver training that is set at a high standard, current and covers all safety aspects that meet the needs of all our business units.  Joining us will give you the opportunity to develop and grow whilst being supported by our excellent team.

Responsibilities

Delivering training to meet business needs and comply with Technical Training processes, you will be required to provide comprehensive support in relation to all technical training needs and analysis.

Supporting the development of training content and evaluations for internal and external customers, you will also provide knowledge and expertise to the business regarding specific products and technique developments.

Supporting the design, development and delivery of operational safety programmes, you will be required to ensure compliance with all Health and Safety legislation.

Monitoring and reviewing all training delivery methods to ensure quality and compliance, you will ensure the effective utilisation of the varied training/learning solutions available, coaching and mentoring staff to meet individual needs whilst provide comprehensive reports to support growth of Trainees and delegates.

What you’ll bring

With a Craft apprenticeship or possessing equivalent training, as well as City & Guilds II or equivalent electrical qualification, you will hold previous experience as a recognised Jointing Craftsperson.

With an understanding of Microsoft applications - PowerPoint, Word and Excel, you will possess a full valid driving licence as travel to other ScottishPower sites will be required, depending on training demand.

Electrician/Metering and LV Network knowledge is advantageous.
