COSLA is currently recruiting for a Policy Assistant to join our Health and Social Care team, supporting a breadth of policy work and the day-to-day activity of the team.
COSLA is the voice of local government in Scotland. As a Councillor-led, cross-party organisation we champion councils’ vital work to secure the resources and powers they need. We work on councils' behalf to focus on the challenges and opportunities they face, and to engage positively with governments and stakeholders on policy, funding and legislation. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of a dynamic and high-profile organisation at a time of significant change and challenge.
For this role, as your experience develops, so too will your ability to take ownership of issues, applying your own personal initiative and drive to see matters through to a successful conclusion.
You can find out more about the work of COSLA via our website www.cosla.gov.uk
The post is a fixed term for 1 year and will be based in COSLA’s office in Edinburgh, though currently COSLA staff are able to work flexibly from home in line with business need.
How to apply
Applications should be made through the myjobscotland website by 11.59pm on 15 September 2024.
It is anticipated interviews will be held during the week commencing 23rd September 2024.
