We’re looking for a Service Engineer – Power based out of our Swindon site.

What you’ll do:
Ensure the completion of repairs and overhauls on time to specific depot deadlines
Ensure adherence to safety practices and quality standards
Carry out the total maintenance and repairs of equipment
Report and document component failures
Contribute to optimum team performance and capability by providing quality workmanship to maintain and enhance the reliability of equipment
Assist, support, and train service crew
Test and evaluate refurbished and repaired generators and prepare test reports as per ISO standards
The duties described above cover the focus of the role, however from time to time you may be required to carry out any other duties which are reasonable and within your abilities to support other areas of the business.
You’ll have the following skills and experience:
Educated to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in an engineering/mechanical subject (can include apprenticeship)
Experience servicing, repairing large engines (generators, HGV, plant equipment, agricultural machinery)
You must also hold a full, clean, and valid driving license and be able to work out of hours as and when required and be part of the on- call rota.
Good organisational & communication skills
Good level of PC literacy including basic MS Office applications
Well organised and capable of keeping vehicle to GSCS standards
