About the department

The Investment Sales Support Executive reports to the Head of Distribution - UK Wholesale. This is a strategically important role at the heart of the UK Wholesale Investments team and plays a key role in helping the team secure new business wins. The Investment Sales Support executive will be aligned to one of the UK Wholesale sub-teams and will work closely with this team.

About the role

The Team Support Executive role is a key role within the UK Wholesale Investments team, you will get the opportunity to provide a high level of technical and sales support to the Business Development Directors.

A key element of the role is the ability to proactively provide performance comparisons and fund performance reports to clients in order to help secure new business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a high level of technical and sales support to members of the UK Wholesale team, including analysing client portfolios and identifying opportunities for the Focus funds to help close new sales.
  • Support sales campaigns with market data analysis, industry research and SF analysis.
  • Proactively gather information on competitor funds, market changes and opportunities to help with sales and focus fund campaigns.
  • Directly respond to requests from prospects or clients on behalf of the Business Development Directors, where appropriate.
  • Assist the Business Development Directors in preparing for prospect meetings, including meeting arrangements, preparation and collation of presentations and other marketing collateral, FC or other market data that could help inform the sales person and the client.
  • Attending prospect and client meetings where appropriate, minute taking and ensuring follow ups are allocated and actioned.

About the candidate requirements

  • Experience working within a global asset management organisation or similar
  • Wholesale/Intermediary experience desirable.
  • Good analytical and communications skills ideally gained from working in an asset management environment.
  • Strong technical asset class knowledge with experience of Alternatives and Institutional products desirable.
  • Proactive self-starter with an ability to work independently
  • Working and practical knowledge of usual IT software packages including Excel, Salesforce, Einstein, Power BI, Financial Express and Morningstar.
