Domestic Services Department are recruiting a Domestic Services Supervisor. The post holder will provide day to day Supervision of the Domestic Services Department across Dundee Locality, in all matters relating to cleaning service provision, including front line Supervision responsibilities of Domestic staff members, service issues and quality standards within challenging financial constraints.
You will be required to deliver and monitor the highest standard of Domestic Services within the hospital.
You must have the ability to work as part of a team or on your own initiative, follow
instruction and possess good communication skills. You must also be able to respond
Constructively to unpredictable situations and be able to cope under pressure.
The post holder is also required to attend multiple locations within a shift and may be required to travel with supplies.
You will be required to achieve the mandatory induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.

Ninewells Hospital/Dundee Locality 19.8 hours Monday- Sunday 7.00-1100. As this is a relief post, the post holder will be required to work various hours across all Dundee locality sites.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
