Location: Edinburgh or Bristol
Salary: £57,500 - £63,000 DOE
Hours: Full time
Working Pattern: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at our Edinburgh or Bristol office.
About this opportunity:
In Heritage Platform we're responsible for the management and migration from our legacy products and technical estates. This critical Platform has a diverse and exciting span of significant deliverables which are key to the overall strategy of Insurance, Pensions & Investments.
As Business Manager, you'll drive the Heritage Platform in achieving efficiency, through effective business reporting to drive focus on what matters, optimising the governance framework in which the Platform operates, and promoting the platform story, to support the teams to deliver against their Objectives and Key Results.
Day to day, this role focuses on managing / supporting governance processes across the Platform, acting as a main point of contact for key partners both internal and external to the platform.
What you’ll be doing:
- Oversight of programme Governance and projects / initiatives being developed ensuring we remain fully aligned with all Group Policies.
- Operational Design management including headcount and vacancy management
- Identifying and planning key governance activity.
- Driving organisation, facilitation and co-ordination across the Platform to enable clear and balanced decision making at all levels.
- Using your strong organisation skills to ensure timely and accurate delivery of weekly reports, committee papers and other ad hoc information as needed.
- Supporting key processes around Resourcing, Risks, Dependencies and utilising change tools such as Jira, CORE and QBR App.
- Deputising for Senior Business Manager and communicating with senior team members.

What you’ll need:
- Background: Experience as a Business Management/PMO, including Governance, reporting (RAIDs, Actions, Decisions) and resourcing.
- Analysis: Proven experience of interpreting a range of data, making sense of complex information and presenting data in an appropriate format for multiple partners. Analysing key themes and providing insight for decision-making.
- Change: An ability to handle ambiguity and balance changing priorities, with excellent judgement, to understand impacts on the team’s priorities.
- Development: Comfortable working independently and using your own initiative. Committed to self-development and supporting that of others, actively seeking ways to develop and be challenged.
