The Stroke Rehabilitation Unit in Perth Royal Infirmary, is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to become their new Senior Charge Nurse. The team are looking for a Registered Nurse with strong professional and leadership skills and who can demonstrate a passion for stroke rehabilitation and experience in complex discharge planning. The Senior Charge Nurse will play a key role in the success of the team’s current improvement journey as they work towards becoming an innovative and forward-looking service.
With a passion for supporting patient’s physical, psychological and emotional wellbeing during their rehabilitation journey and supporting timeous discharge planning. It is essential that you can demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills. You will be innovative and proactive with the ability to be flexible and react positively to the ongoing changing demands and priorities within the services.
The Stroke Unit within Perth Royal Infirmary is an integral part of P&K Health and Social Care Partnership, which provides stroke care and rehabilitation facilities for Perth & Kinross patients within the wider NHS Tayside Stroke Pathway.
You must be registered on Sub-part 1: RN1 or RNA or Sub-part 2: RN2 of the UK NMC Register

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
