An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Practice Team Lead to join our close-knit, friendly and hardworking team at Tongue Medical Centre. We are a small, remote and rural dispensing practice with 523 patients
We are looking for candidates who are proactive and enthusiastic to join our primary care team. You should be able to work in a busy environment, sometimes under pressure.
The ability to organise, prioritise, problem solve, and focus are important. You will need to be a people person with strong listening skills with the ability to understand and consider the needs of others as well as providing operational oversight and management to maintain and build on opportunities that arise.
Part of the role is realising the potential for the Practice to provide an excellent patient/customer experience and supporting the Team to achieve what is possible.
There will also be the need to work at Armadale Surgery, a neighbouring practice on occasions
This is a permanent part-time post of 26 hours per week working Monday to Friday in accordance with service requirements to ensure cover is provided across the full week.
This role does not meet the eligibility criteria for a Skilled Worker visa or a Heath and Care Worker visa. NHS Highland is unable to provide candidates with a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS).

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
