Three Harbours is an NHS Highland GP Practice based in Caithness with bases in Wick, Thurso and Lybster.  We have an exciting opportunity for a Care Navigator to join our team. 

The post will be based in Wick but there will be a requirement to work in Thurso and Lybster too.  We are open Monday to Friday from 0800 to 1800 hrs and therefore the team work flexibly to ensure cover is provided across the full working week.


You will be instrumental to ensuring our patients receive the right care from the right professional at the right time.  To be successful in this role you will have good interpersonal and IT skills.  You will be methodical with excellent attention to detail and you will be a team player. You will provide a comprehensive reception service to our patients and have a wide range of administrative duties. This is a busy role, within a fast paced, friendly and supportive environment.


This is a 21 hours per week post, worked in accordance with service requirements. Fixed term to  4th May 2025.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay.  This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.  This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.  However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.  If you have any questions or concerns please contact the Recruiting Board.
