 Purpose of Role:

To co-ordinate effectively Mowi’s Packaging Store and Distribution operations in order to provide an efficient turn round of orders which meet agreed aims and targets, together with the control of stock. Nature and Scope

It includes general responsibility for all warehouse buildings, surrounding areas & all functions carried out within the Stores locations

The role has responsibility for developing team members.This includes identifying development needs and supplying the learning of new skills and competencies to meet team aims and individual objectives

It is expected that the role will involve hands on activity. Along with the other supervising colleagues, the role has wider implicit responsibilities for the successful achievement of Mowi’s overall aims

Key Areas: 

• Receiving/Put-Away: Unload inbound deliveries safely and move product to storage locations

• Load, unload, move, stack, and stage product and materials using different types of MHE

• Ensure all incoming packaging and dry goods meet company standards, required specifications and purchase order quantities

• Ensure all incoming product is counted, checked and recorded on internal stock control system

• Ensure accurate recording and labelling of stored products

• Security and rotation for packaging and dry goods stock

• Maintain effective stock management system and reporting

• Maintains inventory by conducting weekly / monthly physical counts; reporting & reconciling variances; inputting data

• Maintain efficient warehousing systems including a clean, well maintained area at all times

• Maintain storage area by organizing floor space; adhering to storage design principles; recommending improvements

• Pick and deliver stock to production areas as requested

• General Supervision of the Stores team including; training, Development, holidays and cover, overtime reporting

• Effective Supervision of staff, including absence management, to ensure that a level of service provided meets requirements of the company

• Complete daily / weekly audits & carry out safety inspections, carry out corrective actions & report findings to Line Manager

• Keep equipment operating by enforcing operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; requiring preventive maintenance; calling for repairs

• Any other duties as directed by Line Manager & Senior Management Team.

▪ Company standards, practices and policies – 5S

• Achievement of operational targets in terms of

▪ Volume quantities and order accuracy

▪ Physical asset stock count accuracy and timing

▪ Accurate incoming stock delivery quantity and quality

▪ Accurate weekly and month end stock count

▪ No significant write-offs of packaging stock

▪ Customer service level to be to the highest level or as determined by Mowi

• Delivery of Area Objectives and associated projects, individual performance objectives and personal development plans.

Evidence of a sustainable engaged workforce in terms of documented regular communication forums (two-way briefings), management of absenteeism, productivity and motivation levels

Skills:

• Evidence of strong leadership skills in managing people

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels, ensuring information is delivered and understood

• Ability to drive change through positive communication, employee involvement and forward planning

• Ability to drive and build strong levels of employee engagement

• Ability to deliver under pressure; and flexibility within time management to ensure business needs are met

Experience: 

• Demonstrable track record of leading and delivering high level performance through good people management in a fast-moving Despatch and Operations environment

• Must be competent Excel and MRP/web-based systems user

• Must be thorough and demonstrate meticulous attention to detail

• Previous experience in a similar role is essential
