Purpose

ScottishPower’s Business Analysts play a key role in driving our roadmap of improvements to help deliver the best possible experience to our customers. 

As Senior Business Analyst, you will work on a specific project critical to ScottishPower’s needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects.

Acting as the bridge between business stakeholders and software developers, you will ensure tha requirements are clearly defined, understood and successfully delivered, using cutting edge technology to solve real business problems.

Responsibilities
Documenting existing business processes and workflows, translating business requirements into functional requirements for technical teams, you will be required to collaborate with business stakeholders, developers and testers to drive forward system and process improvements.

Providing robust and innovative solutions to meet the fast-moving needs of the business, you will also manage multiple stakeholders and multiple priorities simultaneously.

What you’ll bring

Educated to Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or relevant technical field, you will possess knowledge of requirement gathering and process mapping.

Experienced in the full software delivery lifecycle including the use of Agile methodology, you will hold knowledge and understanding of UK Smart Metering Infrastructure consisting of DCC User Interface (DUIS Service Requests, Responses and Alerts) and DCC Data Systems and SMART Technology (devices and firmware) with specialist knowledge on Energy Retail Meter to Cash process which includes meter reading (including SMART meter reading process), billing, invoicing and finance (payments, refunds, bank interfaces).
