Kilchoan Management Ltd is the operating company of The Kilchoan Melfort Trust, an OSCR registered charity, OSCR number SCO53005. Together they fulfil the Trust’s objectives of conservation and habitat enhancement, spiritual awareness and educational endeavour. This is done through direct employment and extensive collaboration, including financial support, with schools and higher education universities and colleges, as well as work with other like-minded charities and institutions, in the UK and across the world.
Kilchoan Management Ltd employs 16 members of staff across its spectrum of activities, covering marine and terrestrial habitats, estate and building maintenance and construction, housekeeping, and garden design and upkeep.
An assistant to the Administrator is sought to work closely with her and the various external agencies working with the estate, including the out-sourced accountancy and payroll function, our health and safety consultants and insurance advisers.
Responsibilities will include:
· Assistance and support to heads of department, covering day-to-day issues
· Help with report writing and presentations
· Checking and reconciling supplier statements and invoices
· Liaising closely with our out-sourced accountants on a weekly/monthly basis
· Assistance with and alignment of departmental budgets on a quarterly basis
- Liaison with our treasury and group accounting function, who are based in the US
Requirements
· Good Word, Excel and other Microsoft app knowledge essential
· Great collaborative and networking abilities
· Organised and methodical worker and the ability to focus on key tasks
· Good literacy and numeracy
· Flair and a sense of humour!
