Job Description

To role model and support the delivery of competent and confident professional practice within social care and OT teams.

 

Requirements

Considerable experience as a qualified OT. Excellent knowledge of legislation, policies and practices associated with Community Care.

 

Experience of successfully managing a varied and complex caseload. Professional qualification in OT and registration with SSSC. Evidence of continuing professional development.

 

Ability to negotiate and liaise effectively. Ability to reconcile demands and wishes against financial processes. Ability to work flexibly to meet demands of service.

 

Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to present complex information to colleagues.

Ability to work independently Ability to support and monitor colleagues.

 

You will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within Moray to meet the operational requirements of the Service. Due to the rural nature of Moray this is normally undertaken by use of a car.

 

Responsibilities

The effective management of caseloads, the delivery of cost-effective interventions and the achievements of all relevant statutory requirements and Department policies, standards and guidelines.

 

To introduce and support the development of evidence based practice. Supervision of Occupational therapy staff To lead on the improvement of ICT systems on behalf of Practitioners.

 

To mentor and coach professional staff and peers including those less experienced and newly qualified social workers, ensuring a focus on evidence-informed practice.

 

To be responsible for practice audit within teams, working together with other advanced practitioners and the Performance and Quality Team.

 

To contribute to practice, policy and procedure improvements and developments through contribution of expert knowledge.

Starting Salary £47,068.48

£24.97 per hour

36.25 hours Per Week
