We are seeking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic  Paediatric Occupational Therapist Team Lead to join the Paediatric Service in Argyll and Bute HSCP. This post is a permanent post 37hrs per week.
As well as a highly complex individual caseload  the successful candidate will be required to provide leadership for a small team of Occupational Therapists working across the whole of Argyll and Bute
The postholder will provide professional and clinical leadership, management, support and supervision  ensuring the service provided makes best use of available resources and is in line with best practice.

 You will be expected to provide an efficient and effective community based Occupational Therapy Service to children and young people in the most appropriate location e.g. home, clinical, nursery, school. This will necessitate working closely and collaboratively with parents and colleagues from Health, Education, Social Work and the Voluntary Sector.

You must have a degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy and be HCPC registered.
Postgraduate qualification to Masters Level or equivalent in Management and/or Leadership is desirable. You must have a flexible and adaptable approach to work.  Highly Specialist experience in a paediatric setting is essential, with community experience preferred. An ability to work independently is necessary along with excellent communication and team working skills.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay.  This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.  This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.  However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.  If you have any questions or concerns please contact the Recruiting Board.
