An opportunity has arisen for bank clerical officers to join the admin team in Cowal Community Hospital, Dunoon to cover for staff on training placements at set times throughout the year. We are looking for enthusiastic, confident, experienced and self-motivated individuals; you will be required to work as part of a team, therefore, excellent communication, organisational and keyboard skills are required.
You will have a calm and pleasant manner, be well organised and able to work on your own initiative.
You will have a good educational background with proven work experience in a similar role. The ability to work well under pressure and a flexible approach to the needs of the department are essential.
You should have typing skills to the equivalent of ECDL/SVQ2.
Knowledge of medical terminology and previous NHS experience are desirable but not necessary. Induction, training, support and supervision will be provided

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
