A Financial Reporting Lead will provide support to the UK Projects and Construction Onshore business who are responsible for constructing a vast portfolio of windfarms, Solar and Battery Projects across the UK and Ireland.  

  

The Financial Reporting role will report to the CAPEX and Contracts Manager and be responsible for providing a high quality, consistent service across projects within ScottishPower Renewables Onshore Projects and Construction.  

  

The Financial Reporting Lead will include working closely with wider Projects and Construction teams, Legal, Insurance, Financial and Group Purchasing teams to provide insight & data to help ensure project budgets are managed effectively 

What you’ll be doing 

You will Manage the provision of accurate reporting to ensure project teams and senior management are fully aware of the true economic/financial status of projects. 

Apply accurate time and resource estimating techniques to minimise risk of investment delays and to maximise value. 

  

Build effective relationships with colleagues & leaders across the UK projects & Construction business to ensure the most effective and efficient reporting processes are implemented  

  

Lead & coach a team of project co-ordinators creating a positive team environment, where that staff are motivated, have clear objectives and that they receive regular feedback and development. 

 

 

What you’ll bring 

  • Preferred Degree qualification preferred but minimum qualification to HND level. 

  • Effective leader with a clear vision in terms of prioritising operational and strategic responsibilities. Ability to lead and coach employees through the application of appropriate management techniques. 

  • Expertise in SAP 

  • Expertise in PowerBI 

  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, whilst maintaining accuracy of work. 

  • Tenacity and determination to succeed. 

  • Interpersonal and written communication skills. 

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office systems. 

  • Some relevant project-based experience within selected discipline and/or direct experience of working within a project environment. 

  • Experience and understanding of technical due diligence. 

  • Experience of renewables / power generation industry preferred.
