JOB TITLE: FX Product Manager - Merchant Services
LOCATION: London or Edinburgh
HOURS: Full time
WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in an office site
About this opportunity
We currently have a phenomenal opportunity for a Product Manager to join our Merchant services team on fixed term contract until August 2025. You'll be a product management specialist who uses their expertise to deliver strong outcomes for Commercial Clients in the Group's Merchant Services portfolio.
Merchant Services is a key component of Commercial Product suite enabling clients to accept payment in a variety of ways. The Group is making significant investment in the product capabilities across Merchant Services, and we're looking for a highly motivated Product Manager to drive and commercialise the Dynamic Currency Conversion proposition.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Commercialise products and generate business value through a full understanding of all Commercial aspects of the product, from market opportunity, build & ongoing servicing and management costs, price points and structures, profitability, and the impact of regulatory and ESG risks.
- Be the voice of the customer developing products and features through Market and Customer Insights that provide solutions to identified needs.
- Shapes the development of compliance policies, develops underlying procedures, and monitors their implementation to ensure the product is launched, managed, and developed in a compliant manner.
- Makes authoritative technical and/or professional recommendations that have a significant short-term and long-term impact on the business.
- Manages the definition, development and delivery of products and offers to ensure alignment with customer requirements and delivery of business value.
- Develops tactical plans for optimisation of resources and assets being managed within Product function, and innovative solutions by integrating and analysing complex & diverse information sources.
- Initiates, formulates and implements new business practices eg Agile, while managing the development and/or delivery of Products within the organisation's change management programme.

- Deep understanding of the FX and DCC market, technological landscape and current and potential innovations, its actors, including Competitors and the behaviours of the users of the product.
- Excellent analytical ability to interpret data, whether it be financial, transactional, trends and behaviours to shape current and future developments.
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to build strong and trusted relationships across a large and complex business and identify and gain support of key influencers.
- Motivated self-starter, able to work to tight deadlines in a pressurised environment, handle multiple partners and reliably deliver high quality output.
- Strategic thinker, able to define the vision and strategic direction based on a deep knowledge of the internal and external markets.
