We are delighted to share that we are searching for a Time Served Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Speyside!

Salary of £42,119.37 + competitive benefits package including pension, shares scheme and bonus!

This is a phenomenal opportunity for an Engineer to spread their knowledge across a multi site function. The Engineering team are responsible for the manufacture of process equipment / assets in Speyside sites and the installation, maintenance and improvement of these assets across our distilleries in Scotland.

About the role

As a first response for support, you will work closely with distillery operations teams, CAPEX engineers and maintenance groups to maximise efficiency of operational assets across distilleries. This includes providing emergency response to plant breakdown situations, where you will respond promptly and efficiently to analyse, fault find and repair using problem solving techniques to ensure downtime is kept to a minimum.

Key responsibilities will be;

  • Support the delivery of efficient and effective maintenance on site, including repairs, RCPS and the improvement of assets and their availability.
  • Use of our Computerised Maintenance Management System (SAP-PM) for raising, updating, and recording of maintenance tasks
  • To work with the Maintenance Manager, Site Management and Maintenance Planners to ensure compliance with and delivery of Plant KPI metrics.
  • Own and drive asset care IMPROVE activity both directly at site and within the asset care community. Actively take part in root cause problem solving (RCPS) activity and provide domain expertise to ensure that 100-year fixes are identified, actioned and implemented.

About You

Our ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate across all levels. They will actively engage with partners and the Maintenance Planning Department, to ensure valuable Planned Preventative Maintenance Tasks are at the core of the Maintenance Strategy.

The successful candidate will be organised and self-reliant, handling their own workload and priorities while solving problems and supporting process and equipment improvement projects.

To be successful in this role, you will need;

  • HNC level qualification in mechanical engineering (Coppersmith qualifications may also be considered)
  • Hands-on maintenance / engineering experience as a time-served engineer
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to communicate to all levels across the plant
  • Ability to organise a variety of tasks and prioritise self and others accordingly
  • Full UK driving license with the legislative requirements to drive company vehicles.
