An opportunity has arisen in Brodie Ward Royal Cornhill Hospital for an enthusiastic kind and caring Staff Nurse to join the team.

We require a staff nurse to come and join our team in Brodie ward. This opportunity is for a part time- 18.5 hrs, permanent band 5 nurse.

The post holder would be required to work 12hr shift patterns which includes working day and some night duty. Brodie ward specialises in caring for Neuro-Psychiatric patients and the possible resultant severe psychiatric, psychological and behavioural symptoms. Brodie ward also cares for patients with Huntington’s disease.

It can be a challenging position, and we would appreciate applications from those who have an interest or experience in caring and carrying out close nursing and personal care in an inpatient environment.

Good communication skills and the ability and flexibility to cope with a varied patient group are essential. The applicant should be patient,caring and kind with a willingness to complete/attend necessary training courses.

Brodie ward offers a unique therapeutic environment with a large emphasis placed on the nursing teams’ resilience and ability to assess the needs of this client group and to work closely and communicate with the wider MDT. Please provide information on why you wish to be considered for this post.
