Band 6 Deputy Charge Nurse

37 hours per week

 Location Davan Ward, Royal Cornhill Hospital, Aberdeen

Davan Ward presently requires an enthusiastic Deputy Charge Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team and will participate in the development and maintenance of a high quality standard of nursing care in accordance with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct, local and national policy including health and safety legislation and in the absence of the Senior Charge Nurse assumes leadership and provides guidance to all staff. Davan Ward is a busy 22 bedded mixed sex, acute admission ward for patients with functional illnesses. Applicants should demonstrate awareness and be willing to adapt to the ever changing needs of the Older Adult Psychiatry service. RMN is essential. The successful candidate should be motivated, demonstrate a commitment towards participation in the continued development of patient focused care whilst fostering a therapeutic ward environment. The ability to lead by example and to support the ongoing development of others is essential. This position offers broad experience across many domains in a challenging but rewarding healthcare environment. This position would suit those that wish to be part of an evolving service that recognizes the diverse and complex needs of older adults and their families/carers.
