Base salary including shift allowance £48,521.08 + competitive benefits package including pension and shares scheme!

About the role
As an Operator within our dedicated team at Runcorn you’ll play a pivotal role in the supply process and packaging team, maintaining the line and finding improvements where possible.
Within this role you’ll be responsible for the quality control of the line, operating packaging machine processes whilst following standard operating procedures for machine operation and set up time reduction as well as preparing the line for shift handovers. In addition, you will perform autonomous maintenance tasks including clean, inspect and lubricate and respond to issues.
Health and safety compliance is key, and you’ll be at the forefront of making sure this is monitored alongside other KPI’s and targets including quality, hygiene, waste and efficiency.
To be successful in this role, we’re looking for someone who:
Can work well within a team as well as the ability to make effective decisions and thrive in situations where they can solve problems.
Holds strong interpersonal and leadership skills with an ability to communicate with all levels across the site.
Has ambition and aim to support Team Leaders and possibly aspire to become a Team Leader of the future.
Able to push forward your own ideas about improvements to current approaches and appraise new opportunities. With a strive to make a positive difference to manufacturing excellence and show your excellent communication skills.
For this role, experience in a production or FMCG environment is advantageous but not a must-have for this role. Additionally, having demonstrable knowledge of Quality, Health and Safety, and environmental risk management principles would be beneficial, though not essential.
Familiarity with the brewing and packaging industry, as well as experience with SAP, would also be an asset.
Onsite training will be provided.

Shifts
This role requires you to work a 42hr week continental day / night shift pattern which requires 2 weekend covers a month.
As an Operator you are contracted to work a suite of shift patterns that can be flexed between your working hours and equivalent salary and shift allowance will be changed in line with the pattern you are working.
As and when required you will be working a 12hour 24/7, or an 8hour 24/5 three shift rotational pattern. These details are aligned to the site's collective working agreement.
