HIGHLY SPECIALIST PHYSIOTHERAPIST in RESPIRATORY MEDICINE 

Hours 14.8 hrs/week permanent Monday, Tuesday.

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Physiotherapist to share leadership of our Respiratory Physiotherapy Team. You will be responsible for managing a complex clinical caseload covering the Acute Respiratory Medicine wards as well as Coronary Care Unit, Renal Medicine and Cardiology wards.

The ability to adapt to the diverse and variable demands of caring for patients within a fast paced environment will be necessary. The successful candidate will also work collaboratively with the Oxygen Service team supporting patient assessment and prescription of Home Oxygen Therapy.

This vacancy demands excellent teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills. Your personal qualities should include excellent organisation skills together with a positive approach and the ability to work autonomously within a busy team.

We are looking for a dynamic, emotionally resilient and highly skilled clinician, experienced in all aspects of management of respiratory conditions in the acute setting. Experience of quality improvement and clinical effectiveness would be desirable.

You will provide teaching and supervision for physiotherapists, physiotherapy students and members of the Multidisciplinary Team, and participate in the training of staff working on the overnight on call and weekend rotas..

The Acute Physiotherapy team are committed to embedding Continual Professional Development in conjunction with regular supervision and appraisal. Protected time for learning and support for relevant training to further develop staff and facilitate service improvement are available.

This post will work on the on call and weekend respiratory rotas.
