PHARMACY DEPARTMENT, ROYAL INFIRMARY
MONDAY – FRIDAY 37 hours
- Undertakes duties in the support of the distribution and storage of medicines for hospitals and associated facilities throughout NHS Grampian, and a range of non-NHS clients.
- To process invoices relating to the procurement of pharmaceutical products for onward transfer to the Finance Department for payment.
- To input of data relating to the issue of pharmaceutical products.
- We encourage applicants who are able to demonstrate previous office experience within a similar arena, knowledge of medicines required and although NHS experience is desirable this is not essential, Applicants will possess excellent organisational and time management skills, good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, along with excellent IT skills. The successful applicant, will be self-motivated, have the ability to work within a team, on their own initiative and with minimal supervision. Knowledge of professional purchasing principles acquired through NVQ level 3/ Institute of Supply Chain Management - Level 3 – Supply Chain and Operations/Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) Foundation or equivalent, plus knowledge of contract law acquired through short courses and experience or equivalent.
