Job Description

To provide a range of clerical duties for the Sport & Leisure Division.

To represent the Department of Education and Social Care and Moray Council in ensuring a high quality service is provided, whilst maintaining good operational procedures and relationships between the service and members of the public.

Responsibilities

To provide clerical support and related duties.

The Individual

Experience in clerical work including figure work, typing and word processing.

Experience of working in a busy office environment using relevant technology and equipment e.g. photocopier, e-mail, intra/internet.

Recognised qualification for secretarial studies e.g. RSA I, RSA II, Training in word processing and spread-sheets. 4 SQA Standard grades or equivalent at level 3 or above including English and maths / arithmetic.

High level of accuracy in work.

Ability to prioritise own workload.

Ability to use initiative in day to day tasks.

Ability to participate as a team member.

Effective written and oral communication skills.

Ability to deliver a high level of customer care.

Effective organisational and time management skills.

Self-confident and self-motivated.

Appreciation and acceptance of, and commitment to the importance of confidentiality.

Ability to demonstrate good literacy and numeracy skills.

Flexible and adaptable.

Understanding of and ability to demonstrate key inter-personal skills, both on the telephone and face to face.

Willingness to accept direction / delegation.

Ability to deal sensitively with customers.

Flexibility to meet the needs and demands of the service.

 

Temporary post until June 2025

Closing date: 8th November 2024

Starting salary £24,995.10 (pro rata)
£13.26 per hour.
29 hours per week
