Ninewells Hospital Outpatient Parenteral Antimicrobial Therapy Team (OPAT) are delighted to bring to advert an opportunity for a full-time specialist nurse to join the team. The OPAT specialist nurses work closely with the Infectious Diseases consultants and specialist registrars, to deliver a service to patients across many specialities within our organisation with a range of infections requiring intravenous antibiotics or complex oral antibiotics as an outpatient to facilitate safe, effective and timeous discharge from hospital.   

 

Experience of complex infection, the infection process, and antimicrobial stewardship is highly desirable. You will be supported to become an autonomous practitioner in the review and assessment of the patient from referral, to include history taking, clinical assessment, and non-medical prescribing, and must be willing to complete both Clinical Assessment and Non Medical Prescribing Modules.


 You will be expected to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.


You must be registered on Sub-part 1: RN1 or RNA or Sub-part 2: RN2 of the UK NMC Register
