We have a full time position, Band 6 Urology Specialist Nurse (Renal cancer) position available within the Urology Department in NHS Grampian/ UCAN.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an excellent established team and to develop in your Urology nursing career within the division of Surgery.
Suitable candidates should have at least 3 years Urological nursing experience as a Band 5 with a good understanding of urological and renal conditions and treatments that can be evidenced.
Suitable candidates should be able to work efficiently, effectively and be able to use their initiative to make sound rational decisions supported by evidenced based practice and research. The candidate must also have the ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.
We require a dynamic, motivated and enthusiastic individual. The suitable candidate must have excellent communication skills, be able to work autonomously and as part of a team. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate clinical excellence in Urology nursing practice and have evidence of post registration study. The suitable candidate must have experience of ERAS and Urology stoma care.
The Urology Service works collaboratively across NHS Grampian to provide integrated and clinically effective services for patients with urological disorders. The successful candidate will support Nurse led clinics- vetting, including face to face and Telephone follow up clinics for patients. The successful candidate will provide advice, support, information and education to patients, carers and other health care professionals involved in the care of patients with renal cancer.
Full support will be given for training and the completion of competencies.
